Introduction
NAT-tv is the first Thai-language, satellite TV station located outside
Thailand. It was established, in June 2003, as a joint venture between
Thai-American businessman, a veteran in the U.S. satellite TV business,
and one of the largest media groups in Thailand with more than US$
1 million investment.
Channel Profile
NAT-tv is a free-to-air, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week broadcasting
channel. Its main purpose is to serve overseas Thai and Laotian people,
as well as other ethnic-group viewers who can understand Thai language,
with a quality and unique TV programming.
Coverage Areas & Population
NAT-tv
broadcasts via a satellite, Telstar-5, hovering over the Gulf of
Mexico off the coast of Texas at an altitude of 23,000 miles above
the earth. The footprint of Telstar-5 covers United States, Canada
and other 15 countries in Central America with 1.5 million prospect
customers. Viewers need proper Ku-band satellite dishes and set-top
boxes to enjoy the quality programs.

About
80-90% of our programs will originate and produced in Thailand.
The
program content includes current
local and internationa news, Thai
cultural shows, drama, entertainment,
sports, variety and talk shows focusing inside Thailand and around
the world. The rest of
10-20
% will
be
produced in USA
which
will
mostly cover news and activities of local Thai, Laos and other ethnic
groups across USA and Canada and
Central America.
